Terese Bondas, PhD, LicHSc, MNSc, RN, PHN is Professor of Nursing Science at Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences, Nord University, Norway and Adjunct Professor (Methods of Health Research), University of Eastern Finland, Department of Nursing Science. Terese has received her education at Åbo Akademi University. She has initialized and leads the interdisciplinary research network ‘Childbearing in Europe - a qualitative research network’ that now connects more than 80 researchers and doctoral students since its start in 2002. Research training courses and workshops in childbearing research have been organized by the network steering group attracting researchers and doctoral students from all over Europe, initiating research collaboration. Terese has supervised doctoral students in several countries. She is the author of more than 70 original research articles, and the co-editor and author of several books and reports. Terese has had an overarching interest to develop phenomenological and other qualitative approaches such as metasynthesis, action research, and ethnography in her research to contribute to evidence based family focused nursing care in collaboration.
